Abstract

The historical geography of Arabian Nights involves very large area.Because Westerners called it Arabian Nights often thought as the Arab fables are very similar to Anatolian Turk fables in the Arabian Nights which can't be underestimated.This corpus is registered in the archives that has translations since 14th century.But the largest translation made by French explorer and researcher Antoine Galland in France in the 17th century, with the 20th century were transferred to Turkish. 20th century is an important period especially for the history of Turkish folklore too. Resources of the Turkish folk literature compilation studies have been made at various universities. One of them is doctorate study named ' Motif and type research in the Taşeli Plateau Fables ' made by Prof. Dr. Ali Berat Alptekin in Atatürk University Faculty of Science and Literature Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 1982.This study was published in 2002 by Akçağ Publications by name ' Taşeli Fables '. Our study was prepared by comparing upon these two works.It's upon the comparison of the fables inside the Arabian Nights and Taşeli Fables.Both studies will be compared the list of similar fables will be shown on the comparative table,furthermore a sample fable text will be given.
