Abstract

Leadership can be defined as the ability of making people act. In this work teachers who have school management duty and teachers are examined in the aspect of their leadership situations. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of leadership of school managers and teachers who have school management duty; how the leadership level is affected by age, gender, working time, marital status factors; how the leadership styles (educational leadership, learner leadership, visionary leadership, ethical leadership, transformational leadership) of education managers changes according to position title (manager, teacher with management duty). Group of this work is composed of actively working school managers and teachers with management duty also education managers who are group members in social media in Bulanık town at Muş. Data is collected by the leadership questionnaire, created by Bayrak (2001), which has five sub titles (educational leadership, learner leadership, visionary leadership, ethical leadership, transformational leadership) and 44 items. Analyzing the data is made by statistical data analysis packet program. To analyze the data descriptive statistics and t test are used. According to result of analyze there is no meaningful relation between the leadership styles and position titles.
