A great transformation took place in Turkey's political structure with the transition to democracy in 14 May 1950, and a new era has begun in Turkish political life. Moreover, Tanpınar’s thoughts are also important in that they provide the opportunity to look at a significant period of Turkey’s history, the relationship between education system and social structure in Turkey when we think that a substantial part of the population were living in villages at those times in Turkey and the studies had begun to increase in order to proceed towards an industrial society in Turkey. One of the most important problems of our education system is still productivity in Turkey as Tanpınar noted at that time.
