Abstract

ABSTRACT. The aim of the study is to examine the validity and reliability of the Turkish Version of the Student Self-Efficacy Scale in Turkish Adolescents (Rowbotham & Schmitz 2013). Participants were 293 secondary school students. Results of confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated that the ten items loaded on one factor: x²= 111.74, df= 33, RMSEA= .090, GFI= .93, CFI= .94, IFI= .94, SRMR= .059). Cronbach alpha internal consistency reliability were .88. Corrected item-total correlations ranged from .48 to .73. These results demonstrate that this scale is a valid and reliable instrument.
