Abstract

Nasreddin Hodja was born in 1208 in Hortu village of Eskişehir.He was identified by type of anectode. When anectode has been mentioned, Hodja has the first name that comes to mind.İn time Hodja has become a protected and loved person by the people. He was succeed to live for centuries without losing his value thanks to his jokes and anectodes. His wise personality and his jokes growing reputation have survived today, it is transported into the future. Nasreddin Hodja's wisdom and his globally recognized figure have accepted all over the World. As generations have gone by, new stories have been added to the Nasreddin corpus, others have been modified, and he and his tales have spread to many regions. The themes in the tales have become part of the folklore of a number of nations and express the national imaginations of a variety of cultures. Although most of them depict Nasreddin in an early small-village setting, the tales deal with concepts that have a certain timelessness. They purvey a pithy folk wisdom that triumphs over all trials and tribulations. The oldest manuscript of Nasreddin Hodja dates to 1571. Children's books, while supporting children's language development as they take on the function to tell them our cultural values. Therefore, in children books historical figures are described as a chidren's role models with a appropriate language..In the study, children's books of Nasreddin Hodja how to approach him how it was analyzed that describe, as well as the language of Nasreddin Hodja, topics and elaborates eligibility to children today in terms of messages, proposals have been made in accordance to the results.
