A great victory was achieved following the War of Independence during which Turkish army and people experienced a life or death struggle. The victory achieved on the battlefield needed to be crowned with the victory of education army. An army of education needed to be formed to start the war for education and all the activities regarding education. Village institutes were established to educate village teachers, who were the cornerstones of the army of education. All the activities regarding village institutes, which had an important role in development of villages and villagers, were reflected to the assembly. This study deals with all the works conducted in the assembly regarding village institutes step by step from 1947 to 1957.
