Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the teachers' views on the implementation of Multiple Intelligence Theory for the learning and teaching process in Turkish course. Relational search model was used in order to investigate the views of teachers in implementation of multiple Intelligence theory in the learning and teaching process. In this study, ''the teaching and learning process of Social Studies curriculum according to multiple Intelligence theory evaluation survey'' which is formed by Gümüş (2011) was used, however, some parts of this survey were changed and rearranged for the purpose of this study. In this study, the analysis of the obtained data was made using SSPS 21.0 statistical package program. Statistical techniques such as frequency analysis, aritmatic average percent, t-test and one way variance analysis were applied. At the end of the study, Turkish teachers stated that the educational environment should be enriched according to the theory of multiple intelligence. When processing Turkish classes, they prefer to use different methods and techniques. In addition they indicate the importance of performing the courses by using various activities that would enhance the intelligence of the students in the process of teaching Turkish lessons. The teachers believe that the students will be more active under the implementation of multiple Intelligence theory, when the texts in the Turkish lesson teacher's guide for 5, 6, 7, and 8th middle school grade were examined.
