Abstract

This work includes the research on the existence of the concept of gender which means encirclement of the biological aspect of being male and female with roles given by society and culture, in the fashion sector. Then how fashion industry approaches to the concept of gender has been also investigated with the relation of the individual and the basic covering object of wearing in the context of identity. The results of the research showed that the fashion sector was not insensitive to gender issues in terms of social responsibility. Also the analysises on close fashion history and contemporary fashion showed that the concept of gender has been in fashion sector boths as style and forms.
