Abstract

With the end of cold war, the power struggle on the global scale has changed to the power struggle that results in global consequences. Middle East has been the centre of the field of competition with change of understanding of international competition. Turkey’s troop shipments to the Bashiqa Camp in 2015 and the crisis that occured with troop shipment is just a reflection of the new concept of global competition between global Powers. The aim of this study is to examine the crisis of Bashiqa Camp between Turkey and Iraqi states with the aspect of military assets and military trade of global Powers in Iraq and to examine the reasons of the military shipment that returned to crisis in the contex of Turkey’s changing policy toward Iraq. The last scope of this study is making a statement of the Iraqi government harsh discourse related to military shipment to Bashiqa Camp in the scope of existent relations between Iraq and Turkey.
