Abstract

Human factor emerges as an important element in tourism sector which is a labor-intensive sector. Therefore, success of the human resources management directly affects the success of the business. In this study, the effect of work engagement and work-family-work conflict on intent to quit has investigated. For this purpose, data which obtained from the survey conducting to employees working in 4 and 5 stars hotels in the province of Istanbul has been evaluated. According to the result of survey it has reached that work engagement has negatively impact on intent to quit. The employees who are engaged with their work are found less intented to quit than other employees. In addition, it has reached the conclusion that work-family-work conflict has a positive impact on intent to quit. It has been observed that there is an increase on intention to quit of the employees who experience conflict between work and families.
