Abstract

Recently, more computer practices are used in education. GeoGebra is a dynamic geometry software that are being used prevalently in the mathematics education. The main aim of this research is to determine the opinions of prospective primary school teachers about the usage of GeoGebra software in mathematics courses at primary school level.The case study method from qualitative research methods was used in the research. In the study firstly GeoGebra software was introduced to the prospective teachers and practices about basic geometry subjects were done. After the practices, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 12 prospective teachers selected through purpose sampling method. As a result of research, it was seen that prospective teachers found the GeoGebra software easy, enjoyable and usable in the basic mathematics education. Therefore the GeoGebra software have to be taught to prospective teachers during their undergraduate education for their usage during their profession life.
