Abstract

The Constitutional Economics Theory, influenced by the basic philosophy of the Public Choice Theory; the state must use the instruments of economic policy within the limits and methods set by the constitution. The Glass-Steagal Act, which separated of trade and investment banking in the United States in 1933, will be considered as a constitutional economics example. Also in this study; the possible effects of the abolishing of this law on the creation of the speculative condition of the 2007 Financial Crisis will be discussed.
