For this reason, we chose in this study, the fables of La Fontaine in which we can find the examples of concerned types of reported speech. In the first part of our study, we spoke first of all about the translation and the characteristics of the reported speech. Then, we tried to study and to compare the translations of the reported speech in the fables translated by three authors, (Nazim Hikmet, Orhan Veli and Sabahattin Eyüboglu) from French to Turkish. During the analysis of the translations of the reported speech in the fables, we shall quote first of all small extracts which contain the type of the concerned reported speech of the Fables of La Fontaine under the title of "source text" and then, we shall give the translations made by three translators in their presentation under the title of "target texts". Finally, we give rise to the evaluations and the comparative observations of the translations of these translators according to the same order. By making this analysis, we hope to make the contribution to the researches in the field of translation and especially to the studies concerning the reported speech.},author={Ziya TOK},year={2018},journal={The Journal of Social Sciences}}
