Since these policies are gender blind by design and do not intend to transform unequal gender relations offer partial support to women. Without taking into consideration the unequal position of women in the family and challenging women’s caregiver role, all these efforts to reduce poverty appear to be in vain. Therefore, anti-poverty policies and programs should focus to expand women’s capabilities in order to enable women’s emancipation.
