The emotional demonstrations that nurses which work in Kocaeli at private and public hospitals exhibited to their patients were deep acting which was the extent of emotional labor, surface acting or expression of naturally felt emotions. In this study, the impacts of the hopelessness level were measured according to these three behavior types. The area of this study was nurses which work at private hospitals in the center of Kocaeli. The results of the survey which were implemented to participants who were selected with random sampling were analyzed with the program of SPSS 21, examined the connections between the behavior of emotional labor and the hopelessness level and some demographic features.
