Abstract

Together with technological developments, in information societies, in which communication, cooperation, and sharing gain importance, social media undertakes an important role in satisfying the gradually increasing and diversifying needs of consumers. Social media, today, besides it is user-based, has also importance in terms of its bring together masses and people and increasing interaction between them. Social media, with the number of user that rapidly increases, has any longer become a part of our life, even focus point. Social networks enable people to be able to exhibit their thoughts and works. The young people considerably show interest to social media applications and go towards to these sites with the aims such as playing a game, making communication, entertainment, and obtaining information. Social media is a new virtual media, in which users express themselves, and they are in connection with the other users. Consumers affect each other through social media and are also affected from advertisements made by firms. The aim of this study is to analyze the aims of undergraduate students toward using social media, their use ways, and behavioral styles before and after e-shopping. The study has been carried out by administering a survey to those being volunteer among FEAS (Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences ) of Marmara and Karabük Universities’ Students.
