Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the relation between the presenteeism and the organizational identification of the teachers working at public and private schools attached to the Ministry of Education. The target population of the study is the public and private primary and secondary schools in the districts of Altınordu, Ünye and Fatsa in the city of Ordu. The determining factor of the research population is that the private schools operating in the city of Ordu are located in these three districts. The sampling of the research has been comprised of teachers working at 9 public, 6 private primary and 9 public, 6 private secondary schools determined with the cluster and simple sampling methods. The research, in which relational screening model was used, the data was obtained by using Presenteeism and Organizational Identification Scales. The results of the research confirmed a meaningful and positive relation between the presenteeism level and organisational identification level of the teachers.
