THE INVESTIGATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL MEDIA USE HABITS AND SELF-RESPECTING LEVELS OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS: SAMSUN VOCATIONAL SCHOOL SAMPLE MESLEK YÜKSEKOKULU ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN SOSYAL MEDYA KULLANIM ALIŞKANLIKLARI İLE KENDİNE SAYGI DÜZEYLERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ: SAMSUN MESLEK YÜKSEKOKULU ÖRNEĞİ
The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between self-esteem levels of students who are studying in Vocational Schools and social media usage habits. 269 ??associate undergraduate students participated in the research in the Vocational School of Higher Education in Samsun Province in 2017-2018 academic years. The self-esteem scale (KSÖ) (Bogenç, 2005) and the Social Media Habits Questionnaire were used in the study. The results were discussed in the findings of the research, and the level of relationship and the significance of the variables determined in the study were examined statistically. Findings from the research emphasize the importance of school psychological counseling in increasing self-esteem of individuals in psychological counseling and guidance services in higher education.
