Abstract

Utilizing content analysis method, this study tries to answer the question whether the television stations owned by different capital groups had reported observing evenness about the political candidates during the 2014 Presidential elections in Turkey in their major news bulletins. The content data have been analyzed in the context of the relationship among the media, capital and political power groups, and the balance and neutrality in television reporting. The study concludes that television channels have not observed a balance in their reporting about the presidential candidates.
