Abstract

With widespread interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies, disciplines interact with each other. Translation Studies (TS), whose objet of study has been the subject of many disciplines especially those related to language may not be considered as an exception. The purpose of this study is to examine the relations of TS with other disciplines (OD). The study is based on two main sections. In the first part, it will be revealed how the translation phenomenon is perceived in OD by tracing the theses related to the translation but prepared in OD. In the second part, the contributions made by OD will be examined on the studies within TS. The corpus is limited to disciplines in the Philology field. The research question and supporting sub-questions are as follows: What kinds of relations have been established between OD and TS? How do OD benefit from TS? How does TS benefit from OD?
