Abstract

Nowadays, Y generation individuals, which are defined by the names such as millennium, social media, internet belt, are under the influence of globalization, excessive individualism, and media that constantly upload images. These individuals, such as the internet, social media, smart phone, grow up under the factors that drive them to individualize and alienate the process, becoming addicted to internet addiction and a single generation. Unlike their parents, they grow in an environment encompassed by modern technologies and consumer societies, shaped by the age of information and information, these Y generations draw a profile that is individualistic, consumerist, focused on instant pleasures and devoid of loyalty. Generation members spend the vast majority of their lives with media and communication technologies, use social media circles in a highly active manner, and live communication technologies and social media as a form of life. With these aspects, they can also be defined as digital citizens. Smartphones at the beginning of communication technologies and enabling the individual to do all the work in daily life until they are almost stationary are defined as the means that they are carrying at all times and everywhere as an indispensable player of the Y-branch individuals. Due to the fact that they are very conditioned at the time of purchase and their consumption can be done with their toys in their hands, it is thought that the use of these smartphones will be positively influenced by the Y shopping members' online shopping tendencies. With this research, it will be tried to put forward a conviction that communication technology, which is proposed as a smart phone in the process of innovation, may be an e-commerce tool and that Y-branch individuals can enter online consumption tendency by using the mentioned technology.
