Abstract

The official letters of the Kazakh khans and sultans written in XVII-XIX centuries plays a significant role in history of the Kazakhs, economic and mentality. Because the political and economic conditions, relationships of tribes with each other and persons who held important place in these relationships, all this information is shown in the letters of the Khans, which is the personal view of the Khans, respectively. Most of the official letters had written to the Russian kings and Bukhara, Khiva, Kalmyk khans, Dzungarian huntayshis. Among them, there was letters to Ottoman emperor and Iran shah. During that period, there were letters in priority, regarding military and economic support or assistance from the most powerful state, kingdom of the Russia. Now, the original official letters are stored in the archives at Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Turkey, Iran and Uzbekistan. However, the research work regarding this authenticity of documents and documentation is not fully developed. Copy of originals are not clear in some of the published materials. Therefore, these shortcomings cause difficulties in using and making research of this copy of originals. There is a very little research work about linguistic features of these letters. Research work on official letters began to increase gradually after the independence of the Kazakhstan. In this article will be consider research work on letters of Kazakh khans and sultans of the XVII-XIX centuries.
