Abstract

The desire to convey reality independently of the human eye has been caused many developments in photography techniques with reference to Camera Obscura and the facts that transfering images to the surface in a short period of time the ignorant facts have begun to come to light. While the distance covered in photography techniques makes photography a reliable source, the artist who is kept equal to a high level talent, has begun to lose its value from day to day with the spread of photography. In this struggle for existence, some artists have turned to new quests and others have accepted photography as a technique that can direct art as an inspiration source. Especially since the second half of the nineteenth century, the photograph which has been intensely used by impressionist and artistic impressionists has provided various advantages to the artists in terms of both handling the hard-to-reach scenes and creating the preliminary sketch of the works. However, artists who use photography as a source of data in their paintings have been able to assest the reality reflected from the camera lens in terms of their own viewpoint, and this approach has enabled the emergence of new forms in painting.
