Abstract

Candidates who are graduates of higher education institutions who train teachers can be appointed as teachers and they should take the exam held under the name of Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS). In this study, a qualitative method was used to analyze the properties of a particular text by analyzing the content of the document (Ayaş, Çepni, Johnson and Turgut, 1997). In this study, document scanning technique was used. The questions of biology teacher field knowledge asked between 2013-2020 were obtained from the official website of the OSYM. The aim of this study is to evaluate Public Personnel Selection Examination Biology Teacher Field Knowledge Test in the period from 2013 to 2018. It was determined that the questions asked at the end of the study were appropriate with the program, and the success average of the biology teachers was not changed much in 5 years and it was generally between 16 and 21 net. The highest biology net was determined to be 21,180 net in 2017 and the lowest average was 12,899 net in 2015. When the averages of the other digital branches (Science and Technology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) were examined, it was determined that the highest net was in biology field in 2017, while the lowest average was in biology branch in 2015.
