Abstract

This research, it is aimed to investigate the use of the Antalya regional Turkish folk music melodies in musical-literary direction analysis and music education programs. Research is descriptive. A screening model was used for the research and a literature survey was conducted to determine and guide the determined subject. In this context, 53 works recorded in the TRT repertory have been identified and included in the study by searching the literature of the 33 folk songs of Antalya, which are not recorded in the repertoire but are known and performed in the region. Thus, 86 Turkish folk music melodies of Antalya region were examined in detail. There is information about how these songs can be used in musical and literary analysis and music education. In the study, the socio-cultural structure of the province of Antalya, the characteristics of folk dances and the instruments used in the region, as well as the distinctive elements in the melodies; sound width, method, makam, literary structure of turküler, subject, long air-broken air, oral-nonverbal distributions. It has been reached that the musicians belonging to the region of Antalya have a voice range of 5-13, 63% consist of 9 timed procedures, 37% have a widespread presence of Hüseyni, 71% runner style is common, and melodies are suitable for music education.
