Sustainability in design discipline; about thirty-five years ago was raised by Papanek; it was emphasized that the responsibility of designers was to respect basic social and environmental needs. Sustainability; it is located at the knot of the link between textile and fashion industries and design. By the early 21st century, the products and design provided by the manufacturers and designers were not included in the design and innovation. New resources, information and content sharing will provide new solutions for sustainability. In this study; modern design-designer concepts and their relations with sustainability are revealed. Social, cultural, industrial and economic impacts and reflections of sustainability on textile and fashion design are examined.
