Abstract

With the development of technology, new communication technologies have emerged and this situation has resulted in changing the core elements of communication. The course of development of communication technologies in the historical process is generally discussed in three stages: printed, analog and digital technology. The printing press invented by Johannes Gutenberg in 1450 is considered the first tool of communication technology. The second phase of the development of communication technology with the invention of the telegraph was started. With the use of computer and network technologies, the era of digital technologies of communication technologies began. The use of computer and network technologies in the media has brought about a dizzying change, and the reflection of this change on journalistic practice and practices, reading habits and mass media has led to the separation of traditional media and new media. In this study, a comparison is made between traditional media and new media in terms of characteristics and differences
