Abstract
It is difficult to say the Turkish democracy located along with all institutions and infrastructures of democracy. Although the legal framework in the formation of institutions and structures of democracy had substantially completed, there are social barriers due to political culture in front of the compaction of democracy. In our study, we have tried to address Turkey's political history the most debated issues. In our country, we tried to scrutinize the political environment that is branched on the axis of the secular-conservative, right-left debate and the Kurdish question. We have explored the political tensions that disrupt the social peace, with their past and present, their causes and consequences.
