Abstract

The common living areas of the communities living in the awareness of city have always been heeded by all civilizations, these constructions have become most ostentatious places of the cities. The political, economical, social and religious functions of the city have reflected to public buildings there and positions of these buildings in the city. These were centers of the Greek and Roman cities and connected to other parts of the city by a street network. These buildings were used for different purposes by taking the form of a quite complex construction in nascent cities later. Also, Roman had a continuous interaction from founding a city to artistic perception, religion and social life. Undoubtedly, Hellenistic world was the one that had an important role in this interaction. This powerful domain of Greece came out further with Hellenism policy in territories conquered by Alexander the Great who was a Greek fan. This wide domain has reached to Roman later and emerged Roman art and architecture by forming here.
