Abstract

The Turkish housing in Anatolian is a residential typology that Turks have existed in accordance with various factors in the settlement of Anatolia. The concept of culture, which emerged as an important factor in the shaping of traditional residences, has been effective in the formation of a case of privacy in the housing. This study is a research conducted by examining the Turkish housing and the effects of the arrangements created to provide privacy in the housing and the impact of these arrangements on the housing design. According to these researches, arrangements made for privacy in Turkish housing; The courtyard walls, building entrances, doorknobs, the windows that came, the shape of the floors in the user line, the bridal room and the Ferris wheel (service cabinets) are designated as. The regulations discussed in the study were presented through samples from Turkish housing and the subject was embodied.
