Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of poetry painting on imaginary painting skills in the seventh grade visual arts class. The study group of the study consisted of the 30 students in 7th grade of Mehmet Soysaraç Secondary in Melikgazi district of Kayseri. Static group pre-test and post-test desing, which is an experimental type of quantitative research method, is used in the research. In order to collect data evaluation criteria list was developed and studies were scored with criteria list and interpreted qualitatively. Frequency table was used for data analysis. The data in the frequency table was calculated by the researcher according to the criteria points. According tp the data obtained from the research; There was a statistically significant difference between the static group pretest-posttest test scores in the multi-subject researc model in terms of image richness. As a result of the research; In the seventh grade visual arts education course, it was determined that poety drawing method contributed positively to the students’ imaginary skills.
