Abstract

Somatization is defined as the only disorder with dysfunctional and dysfunctional symptoms that are not explained by physical findings. Schema Therapy has been demonstrated by Young and colleagues. According to Young, people develop schemas early in life and play an active role in the interpretation of events. If these schemes develop in traumatic or incompatible environments, they may be dysfunctional. That is, these early harmonic schemas can then produce comments and behaviors that provoke further difficulties. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between psychosomatic symptoms and early adaptation schemas in young adults. This study was prepared according to the relational screening model. This method, which aims to determine the presence and / or degree of change together, is made between two or more variables. Our study consists of 400 individuals aged 18-25 years living in Istanbul. Participants were selected by simple-random sample selection. It was observed that there was a significant difference between the pessimism and income satisfaction which is the sub-dimension of early adaptation schemas. In addition, there was a significant difference between insufficient self-control and income satisfaction. It is observed that those with low income satisfaction get higher scores. A significant difference was observed between early disordered schemas and the known discomfort. Significant differences were observed between early adaptive schemas and mother's right to be. It is seen that the score of the mother who is not the right of her mother is higher than the early adjustment disruptive schemas. It was found that there was a significant difference between early adaptation diagrams and family violence. It is seen that early adaptation schemas are high in the families who are subjected to violence. A significant difference was obtained between somatization and known disturbance variable. Somatization is seen in people with known disorders. A significant difference was found between somatization and father discomfort variable.
