The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of the classroom teachers about the effect of family factor on the academic success of the students and to contribute to the studies carried out in this field. Case study which is a qualitative research design was used for the study. In the study, semi-structured interview form consisting of 6 main questions and sub-questions developed by the researcher was used as data collection tool. The study group of the study consisted of 30 classroom teachers in Başkale district of Van province. The findings of the study were reached by content analysis. In the study, it was seen that parent-teacher conferences had a positive effect on success. In the light of the opinions of teachers, suggestions are made about increasing the participation in the the meetings and what teachers and administratotrs could do about the success of the student and its family.
