The purpose of studying in this context is to determine the thoughts about the story map method that one of the the classroom teachers' reading comprehension methods in Turkish lessons. The descriptive model, which is one of the qualitative research approaches, was used in the research. The study group of the research has created 32 class teachers working in rural schools in the province center of Siirt, Eruh county and the province center. The class teachers were asked about their views on the story map strategy in Turkish lessons by applying a semi-structured interview form consisting of 4 open ended questions developed by the researcher. The data obtained after the interview were analyzed using descriptive analysis. In the analysis of the obtained data, the percentage and frequency of the statistical operations were used. As a result of the research, it was determined that a large majority of participants had knowledge about story map strategy, this information was acquired in formal and informal ways, and that this strategy had a positive effect on the level of comprehension of the students.
