Abstract
Bu çalışmada Zonguldak kent merkezinde yaşayan bir el sanatı olarak tespit edilen işlemecilik ele alınacaktır. Çalışma kapsamında Zonguldak ve çevresinde yaygın görülen işlemecilik geleneğine tarihsel süreçte kısaca değinilerek, günümüzde yaşayan biçimi ele alınacaktır. Çalışmanın verileri; Zonguldak ve çevresinde tekstil el sanatları, giyim kuşam ve işlemecilik üzerine yapılan alan araştırmaları ve 22 yıldır çalışmalarını yürüten işleme atölyesi kurs öğretmeni ve atölye kursiyerleriyle yapılan sözlü görüşme ve yüzey araştırmalarından oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonucunda verilerden elde edilen bulgular ışığında geleneğin ve geleneksel becerinin devam ettirilmesinin sonuçlarına değinilerek günümüz yaşam biçimlerinde işlemecilik örneğinde el sanatlarının terapi olarak yeri işaret edilecektir. Ayrıca, zengin bir tekstil tarihi ve geleneğine sahip Bölgede bir Enstitü kurulması önerisi sebep, sonuç ve kapsamı ile yer alacaktır.

Abstract
In this study, Zonguldak city centre living in embroidering identified as a craft will be discussed. The scope of work briefly referring to the historical process of tradition, in common embroidering and around Zonguldak, the format of living in the present will be discussed. The data of the study; in around Zonguldak textile crafts, clothing and embroidering researches and carrying out studies for 22 years, embroidering workshop, course supervisor and workshop participants consist of verbal and survey studies. As a result of the findings from the study in the light of the data referring to the results of continuing tradition and traditional skills in today’s lifestyle will be pointing to the place of handicrafts in therapy embroidering instance. Also, in the region with a rich textile history and tradition on the establishment of an Instıtute Reasons for the recommendation, conclusion and the scope will be included with the scope and conclusion.
