Abstract
Spor söz konusu olduğunda, öncelikle futbol akla gelmektedir ve dünyada yaklaşık 3.5 milyar insan bu sporla ilgilenmektedir. Türkiye’de futbol sporu giderek popülaritesi artmaktadır. Bununla birlikte futbol sektörünün giderek ekonomide büyük yere sahip olması, özellikle büyük futbol kulüplerinin hisse senetlerinin borsada işlem görmesidir. Günümüzde, futbol milyarlarca dolar yatırım yapılan bir piyasa ya da sektör haline gelmiştir. Küresel ekonomi açısından futbolun önemli ekonomik sonuçları ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, dört büyük futbol kulübünün 2013-2018 yılları arasındaki lig performanslarındaki başarılarının finansal performans üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektedir. Borsa İstanbul’da işlem gören dört büyük futbol takımı, Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray ve Trabzonspor maç sonuçlarının açıklanmasından önceki hisse senetlerinin değeri ile maç sonuçlarının açıklanmasından sonraki hisse senetlerinin değerleri ekonometrik olarak analiz edilmiş ve karşılaştırılmıştır. Bulgulara göre, oluşturulan hipotezlerden sadece üç tanesi kabul edilmiştir. Kabul edilen bu hipotezlerden üçünün de mağlubiyetlere ait olması dikkat çekicidir.

Abstract
When it comes to sports, football comes to mind first and about 3.5 billion people in the world are interested in it. The increasingly popular sport of football in Turkey is increasing. However, the fact that the football sector has an important place in the economy is the fact that the stocks of the major football clubs are traded on the stock exchange. Today, football has become a market or sector where billions of dollars are invested. In terms of global economy, important economic results of football are emerging. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of achievements in the league performance of four major football clubs between 2013-2018 on financial performance. The values of the stocks of the four major football teams, Besiktas, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Trabzonspor, which were traded in the Istanbul Stock Exchange, were analysed and compared with the econometric values. According to the findings, only three of the hypotheses were accepted. It is noteworthy that three of these hypotheses belong to defeats
