Abstract

-DI/-DU, -mIş/-mUş and –IK/-UK, which mark that the event took place before the moment of speech, are past tense markers in Turkey Turkish and its dialects. These markers are not only past tense but also show how the any information are acquire. The information are acquired in two ways: direct or indirect. –DI/-DU indicates that the information is acquired directly, while –mIş/-mUş and –IK/-UK are indirectly obtained. In directivity the talker witness the event, namely the event is real and certain or the talker sure there was an event even if didn't see anything. there is a lot of research on Turkey Turkish in this context, but there is still little work on its dialects. Therefore, in this study is investigated x and y markers, although they are each one indirectivity markers, in the context of directivity.
