Space is a phenomenon on which civilizations are written in his poetry. It is in this context that he evaluates the relationship between the city and civilization along with intellectual conceptions such as consciousness and realization. In the poems of Arif Ay, who defies all world-wide oppressions with a resistance discourse, cities that have hosted Islamic civilization are described as complementary compositions of cultural memory through past, present, and future.
