Abstract

Abstract

As the internet has become common, actors, who become subjects as users and perform online activities in the internet space, have become a part of daily life. These users, who are consumers of the internet, are the collaborative producers of digital platforms and applications and they are also a part of the participatory process. As a requirement of Web 2.0 platforms, the content produced by users who exhibit collaborative consumption tendencies and the digital traces that they leave during the time they spend online in the internet space have transformed into a commodified commercial value called big data. Digital data, which has commercial value, is the most important source of profit for companies that own digital platforms.

The online activities of the users, which can be evaluated entirely in the context of time and space consumption, gain the quality of a working practice over the surplus value they create. In this respect, the users of digital platforms and applications are workers, who carry out intangible labor activities as prosumers, produsers, and craft consumers. In this study, the relationship of collaborative consuming practices with big data and the digital working styles that take place on Web 2.0 platforms are tried to be determined and the exploitation that takes place through the determined new working styles is tried to be analyzed.
