Abstract
Ayşe Kulin toplumsal sorunlara duyarlı bir yazardır. Gördüğü yanlışlıkları daha güzel bir ülke yaratmak, okuru bilinçlendirmek ve aydınlatmak amacıyla yapıtlarında işler. Ona göre tüm sorunların çözümünü sağlayacak tek şey "eğitim"dir. Bunun için eğitim konusundaki yanlışların da üstünde ısrarla durur. Çağdaş ülkelerin eğitim anlayışıyla ilgili karşılaştırmalar yapar. Ona göre halkımız kaliteli, aydınlık beyinler yetiştiren bir eğitim ile ancak ülke sorunlarından kurtulabilecektir. Yazarın bu konuda üstünde durduğu en önemli nokta "kızların eğitimi"dir. Kulin'e göre değişim öncelikle kızların okumasıyla mümkün olacaktır.

Ayşe Kulin is a sensitive writer to the social problems. In her novels, the author handles the fallacy that she witnesses with the aim of constructing a better country, raising the awareness of the public.According to her, one solution to solve all the problems is “the education”. Hence, she consistently focuses on the significance of education. She makes comparisons of the education systems of the contemporary countries. From her point of view, the only way to get rid of the problems in our society is through education. More specifically, the writer emphasizes the significance of “the education of girls”. For her, a precondition for change is to educate girls.
