Abstract
Selim İleri, Türk edebiyatında roman tekniğini zorlayan, romana yenilikler getiren, yazdığı romanlar ile geniş bir tartışma ortamı oluşturan bir yazardır. Her Gece Bodrum adlı romanı tekniği ve mekâna yüklediği fonksiyon açısından bu anlamda yankı uyandırmış bir gençlik romanıdır. İleri, romanı kaleme aldığı dönemden bu yana aydın eleştirisi, topluma uyum sağlama, modern insanın sıkıntıları (angoisse) gibi konularındaki tavrı nedeniyle eleştirilere maruz kalmıştır. Bu roman mekân algısı bakımından da romanın sınırları zorlamıştır. Çalışmada Her Gece Bodrum adlı eserinde mekân unsurunun nasıl kullanıldığı incelenmiştir. Mekân unsurunun roman kahramanlarını çizmek ve olumsuz bir atmosfer oluşturmak için kullanıldığı görülmektedir. İnsana huzur vermesi ve yorgunluğu gidermesi beklenen bir tatil beldesi olan Bodrum sıkıcı, korkutucu bir mekân olarak tasvir edilmiştir. Bodrum, Cem’in değişim serüveninde ana aktördür. Eserde iki mekan algısı oluşturulmak istenmektedir. Birincisi tatilcilerin Bodrum’u diğeri ise yerli insanların yaşadığı Bodrum. Bu iki mekan roman boyunca karşı karşıya gelmektedir. Mekânlar kahramanların duygularına göre simgeleştirilmiştir. Romanda mekân, zaman ilkesinin ve olay ilkelerinin önünde olmuştur.

Abstract
Selim İleri is an author who compels the novel technique in Turkish Literature brings innovations to novel and creates a broad discussion due to the novels he wrote. He writes the novel Her Gece Bodrum after the returning of Bodrum holiday where the first time he went. This novel has been exposed to criticism because of the attitude of sexuality and intellectual criticsm since the period in which this novel written. This novel has been pushing the boundaries of the novel in terms of perception of setting. In this study it is examined how the setting is used in the novel ''Her Gece Bodrum''. We notice the elements of setting are used to create a negative atmosphere and describe the heroes. Bodrum,a fovourite holdiay resort, is decipted as scary and boring place where is expected to give peace and make people relaxed.The atmosphere of setting that he created is far different from the perception in people's mind.Settings are smybolized according to the heroes’ emotions. The setting has been ahead of time and plot’s priciples in the novel.
