Abstract
Bu araştırma Carl Czerny Opus 849 metodunu tonalite, form, armonik yapı, modülasyon, içerdiği altere ses ve geciktirmeler gibi çeşitli eksenlerde incelemeyi amaçlayan nitel bir çalışmadır. Çalışmanın daha detaylı yürütülebilmesi için Carl Czerny Op. 849 metodundaki otuz etüdün ilk on beş tanesi araştırma kapsamına dahil edilmiştir. Araştırmada gerekli olan verilere ulaşabilmek için içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmış; ilgili veriler tablo halinde sunulup yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda metot içerisindeki ilk 15 etütten hepsinin majör tonalitede ve iki bölmeli şarkı formunda yazıldığı, etütlerde ana ve yan derecelerin birlikte kullanılarak estetik renkler ortaya çıkarıldığı, on dört etütte modülasyon olduğu, altı etüdün altere ses ve geciktirme içerdiği saptanmıştır. Bu durumda Carl Czerny Op. 849 metodunun yalnızca piyano eğitiminde değil, müziksel işitme/okuma/yazma, form bilgisi, armoni eğitimi ve analiz gibi derslerde de oldukça faydalı bir kaynak olarak kullanılabileceği önerilmiştir.

Abstract
This qualitative study examines the Carl Czerny Opus 849 method in various axes, such as tonality, form, harmonic structure, modulation, altered voice, and retardation. The first fifteen of the thirty etudes in the Carl Czerny opus 849 method were included in the scope of the research. The content analysis method was used to access the necessary data in the study. The relevant data were presented in tables and interpreted. As a result of the research, it was determined that all of the first 15 etudes in the method were written in major tonality and two-part song form, aesthetic colours were created by using the primary and secondary degrees together in the etudes, there was modulation in fourteen etudes, and six etudes contained altered voice and retardation. In this case, the Carl Czerny opus 849 method can be used as a beneficial resource not only in piano education but also in courses such as musical hearing/reading/writing, form knowledge, harmony training, and analysis.
