Abstract
Bu olgu sunumu, “beden dismorfik bozukluğu” (BDB) olan 37 yaşındaki bir erkek hastanın Bilişsel Davranış Terapisi (BDT) ile başarılı bir şekilde tedavi edilmesini detaylı bir şekilde açıklamaktadır. Hastanın madde kullanım sorunları nedeniyle psikiyatrik yardım almasının ardında, ergenlik döneminden beri vücudunun şekilsiz olduğu düşüncesi yatmaktadır. Tedavi sürecinde, BDT'nin temel teknikleri olan "aşağı doğru inen ok tekniği", "düşünce kayıtlarının tutulması" ve "sokratik sorgulama" benzeri yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca, tedavi sürecinde hastanın Yale-Brown ve Beck Anksiyete ölçeği puanlarında belirgin düzelme gözlemlenmiştir, bu iyileşme BDT'nin çarpık inançların değerlendirilmesi ve düzeltilmesiyle elde edilmiştir. Bu olgu sunumu sonucunda, BDT'nin beden algısı bozukluğu gibi durumların tedavisinde etkili bir terapi olabileceğini vurgulanmaktadır.

Abstract
This case report describes in detail the successful treatment of a 37-year-old male patient with “body dysmorphic disorder” (BDD) with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The reason why the patient sought psychiatric help for his substance use problems was the idea that his body had been misshapen since adolescence. During the treatment process, methods such as the "downward arrow technique", "keeping thought records" and "Socratic questioning", which are the basic techniques of CBT, were used. Additionally, a significant improvement was observed in the patient's Yale-Brown and Beck Anxiety scale scores during the treatment process, achieved through CBT to evaluate and correct distorted beliefs. As a result of this case report, it is emphasized that CBT can be an effective therapy in the treatment of conditions such as body image disorder.
