Abstract
Biyosanat, modern dönemlerin sanat akımları olarak kabul edilen Video Sanatı, İnternet Sanatı, Dijital Sanat, Robotik Sanat vb. gibi sanatsal biçimlerin yer aldığı “yeni medya veya dijital teknoloji sanatları” olarak bilinen kavrama bağlı bilim, teknoloji ve sanat üçgeninde yer alan girift bir sanat türüdür. Yaygın anlamda, genetik mühendisliği, moleküler biyoloji gibi çok geniş kapsamlı disiplinlerden yararlanılırken, eserin üreti aşamasında bakteriler, organizmalar, canlı dokular, hücreler, klonlamalar, fotosentez, evrim sorgulanmakta ve bunlar sanatçıya ilham kaynağı olmaktadır. Modern dönemlerde heykel sanatında gerek kullanılan malzemeler gerek soyut heykel olgusu, heykel sanatının konumunu kapsam olarak genişletebilmektedir. Bu düşünceleri referans alan çalışmamızda da bu konuya katkıda bulunmaya ve diğer biyosanat çalışmaları arasındaki farklılıklar ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Yöntem olarak öncelikle biyosanat ile ilgili nitel araştırma yolu ile literatür araştırmaları yapılmış ve bu sanat türü tanımlanarak, verilen örnekler içerisinde heykel olarak değerlendirilen sanatçı eserleri; göstergebilimin gösterenleri olarak çalışmadaki yerlerini almışlardır

Abstract
Bioart is a complex form of art situated within the triangle of science, technology, and art, and is considered part of the concept known as “new media or digital technology arts,” which includes artistic forms recognized as modern movements such as Video Art, Internet Art, Digital Art, Robotic Art, and others. Broadly speaking, it draws from a wide range of disciplines such as genetic engineering and molecular biology. During the production phase of the artwork, elements such as bacteria, organisms, living tissues, cells, cloning, photosynthesis, and evolution are questioned and serve as sources of inspiration for the artist. In modern times, both the materials used and the concept of abstract sculpture contribute to expanding the scope and position of sculpture as an art form. Based on these considerations, this study aims to contribute to this subject and highlight the distinctions between this work and other bioart practices. As a method, a qualitative research approach was employed, and literature reviews were conducted on bio art. This art form was defined, and within the examples provided, works classified as sculptures were included in the study as signifiers in the context of semiotics.
