Abstract
Bu çalışmada, B. F. Skinner tarafından 1948 yılında yayımlanan Walden II romanındaki eğitim unsurları incelenmiştir. Walden II; bireysel hırs, rekabet ve mülkiyetin olmadığı, bebeklerin kontrolü bir çevrede davranış mühendisliği doğrultusunda yetiştirildiği, kadın ve erkeklerin eşit koşullara sahip olduğu ütopik bir ülkeyi konu edinir. Çalışmada öncelikle ütopya kavramıyla ilgili bilgi verilmiştir. Çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışmanın veri kaynağı Walden II romanı olup veriler tematik analiz yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Walden II’de eğitim konusunda ön plana çıkan hususlar; bebek eğitimi, ceza yönteminin olmaması, olumlu pekiştirmenin kullanılması, eğitimde bireysel farklılıkların dikkate alınması, sosyal çevrenin kontrol altına alınarak erken yaşta karakter eğitimine başlanması, eğitimin yaşamla iç içe olması ve eğitim mekânları olarak atölye, laboratuvar, tarla vb.nin kullanılmasıdır. Sonuç olarak Walden II’nin Skinner’ın eğitimle ilgili görüşlerini yansıttığı bir eser olduğu görülmüştür.

Abstract
In this study, the educational elements in Walden II, a novel published in 1948 by B. F. Skinner, are examined. Walden II depicts a utopian society in which individual ambition, competition, and private property do not exist; infants are raised in a controlled environment in line with behavioral engineering; and women and men have equal conditions. The study first provides information on the concept of utopia. It is conducted using the case study method, one of the qualitative research methods. The data source of the study is the novel Walden II, and the data are analyzed using thematic analysis. The prominent educational features in Walden II include infant education, the absence of punishment, the use of positive reinforcement, consideration of individual differences in education, early character education through control of the social environment, the integration of education with daily life, and the use of workshops, laboratories, fields, and similar settings as educational spaces. As a result, it is concluded that Walden II is a work that reflects Skinner’s views on education.
