Abstract
Cadde, bulvar ve yol isimleri gibi apartman isimleri de bir bütünlük arz eden şehir yaşamının en anlamlı parçalarındandır. Bütünlüğe ait bu anlamlı parçalar tıpkı diğer isimler gibi geçmiş deneyimleri de içerisinde saklayan bellek mekânlarıdır. Yer adlarının o yerde yaşayan halkın içinde yaşadığı coğrafyayı, kültürü ve tarihi nasıl kavradığı ile ilgili olduğu düşüncesinden hareket eden bu çalışmada Elazığ ili Kültür Mahallesi’ndeki apartman adları irdelenmektedir. Çalışmada ilgili mahalledeki 140 apartman ismi ile ele alınmaktadır. Çalışmaya konu olan apartman adları saha çalışması kapsamında tespit edilmiştir. Binayı yaptıran kişi ya da ailenin ismi, dönemin önemli şahsiyetlerinin isimleri veya o bölgede daha önce var olan yer adları apartman adlarını etkileyen önemli faktörlerdir. Bu faktörlere bağlı olarak oluşturulan tipoloji sekiz ana başlığa sahiptir. Bu ana başlıkları; Kişi ad ve soyadı ile oluşturulmuş apartman adları, ulusal, yerel ve tarihî öneme sahip kişi adları iİe oluşturulmuş apartman adları, unvan ile oluşturulmuş apartman adları, bitki ve bitki unsurlarının adları ile oluşturulmuş apartman adları, doğa ve doğa unsurlarının adları ile oluşturulmuş apartman adları, hayvan isimleri ile oluşturulmuş apartman adları, yiyecek adları ile oluşturulmuş apartman adları ve diğer apartman adları şeklinde sınıflandırmak mümkündür.

Abstract
Apartment names, like street, boulevard, and road names, are among the most meaningful components of urban life that form an integrated whole. These meaningful elements of the urban fabric function as spaces of memory, preserving past experiences just like other types of names. Based on the idea that place names reflect how the local population perceives the geography, culture, and history in which they live, this study examines the apartment names in the Kültür Neighborhood of Elazığ Province. The study analyzes a total of 140 apartment names located in the neighborhood. The apartment names examined in the study were identified through fieldwork. The names of the individual or family who commissioned the building, the names of prominent figures of the period, or place names that previously existed in the area constitute important factors influencing apartment naming practices. The typology developed on the basis of these factors consists of eight main categories. These categories can be classified as follows: apartment names formed using personal names and surnames; apartment names formed using the names of individuals of national, local, and historical significance; apartment names formed using titles; apartment names formed using the names of plants and plant-related elements; apartment names formed using the names of natural features and elements; apartment names formed using animal names; apartment names formed using food names; and other apartment names.
