Abstract
Hızla gelişen dünya ve küresel sistemin dayattığı ezici rekabet ortamı içerisinde örgütsel, toplumsal ya da ülkesel bağlamda temel metafor hayatta kalabilmek ve süreklilik sağlamaktır. Bunun ise temel yolunun yenilikçi eylemler, süreçler ya da ürünlerden geçtiği düşünülmektedir. Sosyal inovasyon, toplumda giderilmeyen ihtiyaçlara ya da karşılaşılan problemlere yenilikçi bakış açıları sunan bir anlayış olup, daha etkili, daha adil ve uzun dönemli-sürdürülebilir çözümler getirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Sosyal inovasyon kapsamında geliştirilen projeler, çalışmalar ya da araştırmalar karmaşık, iç içe geçmiş, çok katmanlı sosyal problemlerin çözümlenmesinde oldukça etki göstermektedir. Bu sayede sürdürülebilir bir gelecek inşa edilmesi sürecinde sosyal inovasyon, bir olasılığın ötesinde bir zorunluluk olarak yaşamlarımıza yansımaktadır. Dolayısıyla sosyal inovasyon kavramının anlaşılmasının ve yaygınlaştırılmasının toplumların dönüşümü ve kalkınmaları üzerinde hayati düzeyde önem ihtiva ettiği düşünülmektedir. Bu kapsamda çalışmada özellikle Türkçe literatürde nispeten yeni yeni tanınırlığa ulaşan sosyal inovasyon kavramı ele alınmış olup, kavrama ilişkin Türkiye’den, Avrupa Birliği’nden ve Dünyadan çok çeşitli örnekler sunularak kavramın anlaşılması ve zihinlerde somutlaşması amaçlanmıştır.

Abstract
In the rapidly developing world and the overwhelming competitive environment imposed by the global system, the fundamental metaphor in organizational, social, or national contexts is survival and ensuring continuity. It is believed that the primary way to achieve this is through innovative actions, processes, or products. Social innovation is an approach that offers innovative perspectives on unmet needs or problems encountered in society, aiming to bring more effective, fairer, and long-term sustainable solutions. Projects, studies, or research developed within the scope of social innovation are highly effective in solving complex, intertwined, and multi-layered social problems. In this way, social innovation is reflected in our lives as a necessity rather than a possibility in the process of building a sustainable future. Therefore, it is thought that understanding and disseminating the concept of social innovation is of vital importance in the transformation and development of societies. This study specifically addresses the concept of social innovation, which has only recently gained recognition in Turkish literature. It aims to facilitate understanding and concretization of the concept by presenting a wide variety of examples from Turkey, the European Union, and the world
