Abstract

The newly uprisings in the Middle East are called as “Arap Spring”. This calling is a sort of over generalization of the movements starting in Tunis and spreading the other countries. The results of the movements are different from each other as well as the movements themselves in all Middle East countries. Syria is the last decade of the movements and has not ended yet. The social movements in Syria have unique characteristics and inner dynamics. To understand the today’s rebellions of Syria, Syria’s history, unique social characteristics, unique position in the international conjoncture. Must be analyzed in detail. This study is aiming to analyze the uprisings in Syria; and at the same time openning the argumenets about the possible results of the movements. In addition,the heterogenous and segmented structure of the Syrian society and opposition will be mentioned. The power under the leadership of Asad is continuing the relations to the segmented opposition and society with various paratmeters. As the result of this situation; the hoped result did not ocur and the Asad regime is maintaining.
