Abstract

In today’s world where industries, service and technology converge, the change in human behaviour can clearly be seen. Change in TV watching behavior which is the subject of this study, can also be addressed in this regard. TV watching behaviour which was formerly meant to merely look at the screen has now become an activity the audience perform together with all their family and social circle. The main factor in the realization of this transformation is the combined and interactive use of different technologies at recent years. In this study, the phenomenon of use of secondary screen applications which is increasingly widespread in the world is investigated in Turkey through a survey with 235 participants. According to the findings of the survey, one-third of the participants are using secondary screen applications and share content through their smart phones.
