Governance is gaining in importance more and more in many fields, particularly in education. It is obvious that governance is vital in order to establish more effective, and more productive management and planning environment. Institutions, with transparency and accountability to both their own employees and the society, become successful in governance, and continue to serve. This kind of institutions resolve new problems easily, moreover, be in existence for long time and successful. The purpose of this study is to assess transparency and accountability dimensions of governance, regarding teachers’ opinions, to unveil obstacles to governance and assess teachers’ recommendations as solution. The findings from the research show that teachers should participate in governance process; school administration should be objective and fair; decisions should be made with consultation mechanism for good governance in schools.
